What Steering wheel for Shag?

I love stock but functional. I love my stock huge one with non power steering. but when i redo mine i am thinking of wither going with the pony interior or shelby le carra one. i haven't driven a non power with a smaller diameter wheel so I am on the fence..
 
I assume, the diameter is measured from the outside edge of the rim, not the rim's inside edge?
 
What ever wheel you decide on, I think it would be appropriate to put one of these on it!

I'm going with the woodgrain version of this el cheapo Grant wheel until I can convince myself to spend $700+ to have my original wheel restored. Which very well may never happen :)
