70_Fastback: RAT ROD - 193x Ford / 1942 GMC Truck

That looks real good. I am curious though, just how much did that actually lighten the frame? Did you compare weights of the tubing vs the cutouts?

I have always looked at them in other vehicles too. Some are lightening, some are not......it does look cool though.
 
Looking great J! Welds look almost robotic! The "lightening" holes although actually probably adding weight look really cool. You really make the most of your weekends!
 
Ha, Got my mowing done in the dark friday night and beat the rain! This weekend I manages to get part way through designing and building a shaker base for my 69 and went to an all ford show on sunday so dont be so cocky! :nk
 
I think this project needs to be renamed the "Flash as a rat with a gold tooth Rod" as that is top work.
