Update....... I have about 900 miles on the engine now so it is time to have it tuned. I put almost 400 on it this past weekend. Everyting went very smoothly. I am getting about 18 mpg on the hwy and about 14 in town. Not to bad but we'll see how far that drops once I can drop the pedal without worring about detonation. My Ford plug wires were a bit long and the #5 cylinder wire fell over and the boot touched the headers. I have a new set of MSD plug wires that I am putting ends on now. I will be able to run them a bit tighter than the Ford wires.
I drop the car off on Friday to spend the week, or a few days with the tuner. I hope to have it back mid week and see how she feels. I'll post up the results when it is done. I have considered sending the blower over to Vortech to have a new/improved impeller designed. It is supposed to build boost earlier, be more efficient and build a cuple more lbs of boost overall. I doubt I will though. There has to be an end to this project and I need to learn how to say no to my Mustang urges.
