LOVE the teardrop hood !! I am planning on using a Crites hood for my '65 coupe. Is that who made yours? How do you like it? Wormanship? Fit?
I wish that were my Falcon, sadly mine is not that nice. I too love the hood and probably will go with Crites.

well, this is the 65 coupe I bought for parts for the Falcon. It may also be a parts car for a 65 FB.

It has a froze-up 289 and a toploader 3 speed.
Started pulling it apart

that is pretty radical...
now that the Falcon is not going to be (more or less) for my wife, I am heavily leaning towards an altered wheelbase, or at least straight axle gasser.... I just can't get that look out of my head!

hmm a nice patina daily driver will do nicely...did you find out anything on the bumpers even if they need to be restored? i've been looking all over the net but probably not at the right places...

i got the edelbrock f4b intake and the 66 289 closed chamber heads but they are smog heads and he gave me a set of 68 289 heads that are not smog

I think the castings are the same, just the "smog" heads have the extra machine work for the smog stuff. I have never seen any actual smog heads but I know from porting some heads that the casting has a big bump in for the smog stuff. You might get some money from the concurs guys on the smog heads as they were only for California cars I think. Otherwise I would use the 302 heads because you don't need the smog ports for anything

yeah the 68 non smog 289 heads need some love so ill probably use those and sell off the 289 smog ones..he has the block and everything off the 66 289
