What did you get done on your Stang today????

Installed new horns from NPD. Pulled the masking tape off the underhood wiring harness, cleaned the harness with lacquer thinner, put it back in place with a bunch of those plug-in plastic wire hanger things. Installed starter solenoid. Installed new hood bumpers in the fenders. Installed all the underhood body plugs. Set the passenger front brake line in place, with new shock tower grommet, and screwed the hard line loosely into the flex hose. Shot some SEM trim black in the tranny tunnel. Pulled a bunch more masking tape off underhood and front suspension items, tape that's been in place for a couple years. Cleaned and painted and installed battery tray. This car's been parked 6 years, but it won't be much longer.

Hi Craig. I am a soon to be recovering Ferrari owner so now I can turn my weekend attention to my old friend the '65 fastback. After we pulled the engine (we borrowed your carb plate, remember?), the engine bay was crying out for some TLC. This detour stalled forward progress on the install of a roller cam 306. The Ferrari ownership intervened and the Mustang has sat unloved since June oh-12. I restarted the project two weekends ago, and it is fun to be putting parts back in place rather than taking them off. I had forgotten how easy it is to work on the old heaps. That '83 Ferrari, and the other late model cars I've been working on, are torture in comparison.

I cleaned out some mouse nests from under my backseat.
Bought an engine stand and i am going to start tearing down my original 302 this week. My car has been sitting way to long.

thats what you have with european cars !! :whis :hide

Took the cover off the 66 and changed the tag date to the new year...put the cover back on and sighed.

Snagged me a '90 T5 and other associated goodies. Supposed to have been rebuilt but next project is to tear it down and see how things look.

Opened up the T5 I picked up to verify it's condition. Happy to report everything is as promised. All new synchro parts, bearings, etc. Seems I scored a heck of a deal! Buttoned it up and made it look all purdy.

Ahhh, the old T5. I remember sending the cluster shaft out the front case in my new 84GT! Only lasted a year.

See, I've been breaking cars a very long time!

Hmmmm. I beat the ever living hell out of my 83 and never broke the trans. And both years had the weaker non-WC rated at a measly 265 ft/tq. Maybe you do have a gift. Or have trouble hitting shifts?

I replaced the mid-70s motorcraft distributor with unknown advance curve with a date-coded correct distributor with factory advance curve. Took it for a drive, and noticed a small significant difference (hard to discern). Went back to points for a while from a Pertronix. The date-coded distributor was refurbished to concours-correct finish and curvature.

Eh....not a big difference.

Visited Craig and replaced all the caliper bolts. One got lose and fell off and another got loose, so I decided to replaced all of them. Then came home and detailed my car. Looking pretty good if I say so myself.

I just purchased a slightly used Air Ride Pod and digital controller. It has the E3 digital controller, level pro ride height sensors and harnesses, key fob remote control and airpod plastic case/cover. It looks like I will need to pick up some bags and new upper control arms now. :thum This was an impulsive buy due to the good price and I have been thinking about doing this for a few years. Now I need to finish the wiring. LOL!

Now to decide if it goes on the Volvo or Mustang.............. Mustang of course. :yah

Replaced all the rubber fuel lines and the fuel filter on the Diamond Blue 68. The hoses were only 5 years old but heat really seems to do a number on them. I rather keep them fresh.

Trying to set aside enough cash to order a cross-flow aluminum radiator for my 67. The coolant temps on this last trip to Vegas for the 50th had me grinding my teeth.

Learned a valuable lesson. Or should say, re-learned. Verify your parts compatibility before making any purchase decisions. I've got some machining to do now. :rant

In my defense, I bought my brake stuff a LONG time ago. Could have sworn my rear brake set-up was for an "old-style" big bearing flange. Well, I guess it will be when I get done with it!

Took the car up the street to the shop today and started cleaning the garage out for the upcoming renovation. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to pull the old TKO out and start the 4r70w install (they are letting me use a lift/bay).

Need to be done before June 28th if I'm going to the James Dean festival this year.
