New Project! 1968 Volvo P1800 "Bullwinkle"

That is a nice looking TR6! Good color combo.

My car will have the bumpers chromed. The more I think about it and the more feedback I get I am pretty certain it will be the Grey color. I really want the workmanship and details to stand out more than the color. I will just add the color to the interior.

:)

A little more progress on the kick panels and splash shields. We opened up the kick panels so that I could mount my ECU on the passenger side in it. The drivers side will have my fuse box.. the splash shields are roughed in but will receive some bead rolling and rubber seals . The hole in the floor is filled but I forgot to snap a photo of it. It should work out well.

The air intake is just about done. I am waiting on a chromed 3D printed prancing moose like the one in the grill. Greening Auto Company is working on that now. The one in the picture is the grill emblem. The radiator cap needs to be dropped down about 1/2”.

I am happy with how it is turning out. I have also decided to put a radar detector and laser jamming setup on the car. There will be minor metal modifications made to make it work. We plan on using a license plate frame in the rear that will hide the sensors. Working with Musicar Northwest in Portland, OR for that. We will be using an Escort Max CI paired up with AntiLaser Priority jammers.

Here is a sample of the license plate they made for a Porsche. The sensors will have to be recessed in pockets in the trunk.

Gee, watching what you do, I don't think I know anything! It's looking fabulous!!

The Volvo is progressing nicely. They have started working on the gaps, the prancing moose for the air intake is done and the license plate frame that holds the radar/jammers is about to be made. I am also picking out the leather samples.

I want to get some opinions about the rear license plate frame. What font style do you prefer. I plan on naming the car Bullwinkle.

Kind of wonder if kids today or even some adults know who is Bullwinkle is~! ;)

There are some sentimental reasons for the name. It was suggested by Rick a couple days before he passed away. The car will always have that link to him and this forum. RIP Rick.

I'm sorry, RIP Rick:( I lost my best friend (mom) a few weeks ago, I understand the sentiment incredibly. I understand "Bullwinkle" now.

No need to be sorry. I am sorry to hear about your loss though. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you Darrel, now let's get to work, or play I should say;) It seems to be the best remedy for an anxietied state of mind;)

'Dne sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom.

On another note I agree with the second one. Besides nowadays most youngsters can't read cursive.

Thank you;)
You know I can still hear that funny song from Rocky and Bullwinkle;) and of course Mr. Peabody and Sherman! Wasn't there a turtle on that series?" like Drizzle drazle drizzle drone; time for this one to come home" I may be confused as there were a bunch of neat shows growing up;)

What radar jammer/detector are you going with? I want to put one in the Shelby.

I hate the ones that hang from the windshield. There is a perfect spot in the console to mount it and the antennas can be remote mounted front and back.

The question is which unit is the right one.

You project is dang awesome. Been watching it since the first post. Lots of mad skill on that.

You license plate frame question is easy for me, #2. I really like both but #1 is hard to read.
