Also in the picture are the two likely future owners of the '66 Coupe.

Kids can't split a car, you will obviously have to build another one...

Yeah, that'd be a shame, LOL!

But one of them keeps telling me he "wants one where the top comes off" (i.e. convertible). We were over at my buddy's shop a few weeks back and he had a '66 GT Vert that he has been building for a client. We let my little one push / hold the button to put the top down and you'd have thought he was king of the world because he lowered the top. Same kiddo that helped me drill a couple of holes when I was putting in the new fender apron...he seems more interested in cars than his brother.

Honestly though...they have about 8 years till they can drive. What I keep telling them is the Mustangs that are new now won't be new in 7 or 8 years. If we pick one up that needs some work we can probably get a pretty good deal on one and have a car that is a better DD than a classic would be.

This is so cool that when we start talking Nick, PT cruisers come to the picture. Why is that? - LOL.

Eleanor is now sold for $80,000. Dan from Menora Motors www.menoramotors.com bought it and it will be going to Germany for a customer who was keeping up with my Eleanor Blog. Once the vehicle is shipped, it will be time to find a house for my wife and I, living with dad is a bit challenging Ill be able to build myself a big enough shop to continue my hobby.

I just cannot beleive this....Who the hell wold pay $80k for that??????

As you said...."Dan from Menora Motors"

Just think......the idiot from Germany will have to pay more........

After looking at the web site for Menroe Motors, their claim to excellency makes one wonder about other cars seeing what they bought from nick. Also, why would one buy though a company if you could buy direct from nick..........so many idiots in one deal.

My guess: they think buying through a company will be safer than buying from an individual since they can't inspect it first. Also, the company likely will handle import paperwork, shipping, german registration, etc. We have employees that go the germany for several years- taking a car into the country isn't easy.

Oh yeah. Just wait unitl gunther sees what he actually bought.

Thanks Nick for making a deal with my company. As already mentioned our German client was following your blog and told us that this is the only Ecar he will buy so I'm glad we could get the deal done. This is the second car I have purchased from you and I hope it won't be the last one. If anyone else is interested in selling their Ecar please feel free to contact our company under info@menoramotors.com or just give me a call 561-809-8364. We are always looking for Ecar's and we have clients in Europe waiting to buy.

Hans and Fritz are obviously doing a lot more drugs than i initially thought....

Look at the Menora Motors site - they've got more E cars than anything else, some look like they were in the showroom (some statesside).

Why does a customer get an unpainted one from a blog if he has a choice of several right there, already painted? And already in the country, with (I would think) government approval. Something seems fishy about that - and it's not just the build quality.

If they have clients waiting to buy, how come they have e car inventory on the site? :craz

That is so when you call about a car, they can say it JUST sold but we have another on it's way to completion, just as soon as nick "gets some" and fills the voids with Great Stuff.

I would never trash a guy for doing a driveway build. You build where you can because that's what you have...That's fine.

And some guys can do better work in their driveway than others could do with a fully stocked shop.

But 80K for a driveway car? Really? And not only that, the guy said (according to the posts) that Nick's was the ONLY E-Car he'd buy. Really?

"I am a very demanding consumer! I will only purchase the shoddiest of crap cars, but for my high demands on how cheezy a build must be, I am more than willing to pay a premium."

Just hope he never needs that rollbar.

The guy I've "forum chatted" with from MenoraMotors is an idiot. Yes, they are a US based car "brokerage" firm. The detailed pictures of the cars I've seen them selling are usually less than stellar. If ole Nick can sell his unfinished POS to MM for $80k, more power to him.

Amen! It's possible to build one hell of a car in your driveway, just not with Nick's pace or attention to detail.

The comment about "kwalitee cars" is just.... :rofl Worse, it's true :D
