Update? Not much to tell/show. I haven't touched the truck in months. I did get the 4 link tacked in. Ended up practically making every tab and bracket custom to suit the need. It was made easier by using the generic bits and pieces I collected as starting points. Spent many an hour measuring, mocking, cutting, welding and test fitting to get it all right. So much to consider aside from just getting the geometry correct. How will the exhaust run/fit? How can I squeeze in the fuel tank, air tanks, compressors, suspension bits and still keep the bed floor stock? At every turn something wouldn't fit or function if I did "that", so I had to constantly rethink things. Even getting all the hard lines for the air and fuel routing laid out was a pain. In the end, I got it sorted out. Everything tucked neatly under the bed, out of sight. Until of course I "open" the bed. Yep, the bed floor will be hinged so it can lift up (gas shock assisted) to reveal all my handy work. All that polished aluminum and SS would be a shame to hide.

So while I wasn't getting much actual hands-on time with the truck the old noodle was hard at work, at least. Picked up some more odds and ends for the flathead build. Have it all planned out...except where it will end up. All that room under the wide hood of the truck has me thinking maybe I go another way on it. Still old school but maybe something that would yield a bit more power. Contemplating dropping in an old hemi. Blown of course. Watched a Haggerty Red Line video of an old hemi build Davin did and just fell in love with the look of it. So torn. I know I'll be doing a 30/31 Model A coupe next and the blown flathead would be just perfect for that project so changing course on the truck makes sense. I'd still like to do old school so the hemi makes a logical choice if I wanted something cool and unique but cost is just as big as doing the flathead. I could do something like Ford's Godzilla engine for about half. Or a Coyote. Honestly, any of those options would make the truck a lot of fun to drive and certainly fun to show. The chassis is set-up (capable) to do anything I want.

Focus has never been my strong suit. :D

There WILL be a blown flathead. I'm already deep down that bottomless pit of expense. I just think it would look more at home (and be flashier) in a hoodless classic old hot rod vs the truck.
 
That's one good thing about our hobby, you can go at your own pace. It should look good when its finished.
 
Pace is one thing. I need to get off my ass and get back to work. This WILL NOT drag out forever. Father time has a way of catching up on a guy!
