2012 Stangfix Fantasy Football

Just a reminder to all to keep up with their rosters. We had a match-up last week where someone (Steve!) failed to field a full team. This was a problem last year and resulted in a few "free" wins and really messed up the standings. There are a lot of open slots this morning that fortunately were not affected by last nights early game. I'm sure most of you are on top of these but just wanted to remind everyone of the importance of maintaining rosters.

That is all. GO BEARS!!!

damn it terry! I finally had a chance and you blew it!
Sorry Jake. You'll get your wins. Nobody wants to win by a forfeit. Well, maybe Dale. He's typically so desperate he would take anything.

That was last year Beotch. :char

ROSTERS GENTLEMEN.

It's bye week time of year and we have players with open slots on their rosters again this week. Come on guys, get with it and get your replacements off the bench.

Still a tight match between Kev and Duane/Steve. Kev needs to put one of tonights kickers into his line up. HINT HINT!!!

i bet! Hey comish, tell him to pull somebody in the way of fairness, please! :roul
Can't do that to him. He had a heart breaker of a season ending playoff game last night. The way fate works, his team ended up facing the team they lost to during the season which took the conference championship from his team with that win. In his four year high school "career", they had never beaten this team.

So last night they played at the away venue. From the kick off, they rammed the ball down the bad guys throats and scored. Thing of beauty. The rest of the game was hard fought back and forth. The boy's team made a couple huge turn-overs which gave the other guys the lead in the end.

So it's fourth quarter and they are down by 7. Less than 2 minutes, no timeouts. They drive to the 8 yard line. Now it's less than a minute. Can't run as there are no timeouts. On fourth and goal, they complete a pass for the score. Ref signal TD. Everyone goes nuts. Then another ref runs across the field and signals no catch...he was out of bounds. He overrules the ref that was on the call, 20 yards closer.

I know all these kids and the one who caught the pass well. I could tell from his reaction and body language he made the catch. No BS. It honestly didn't even look like there would be a question of him being in play. To say the call sucked is an understatement. My kid is crushed. He's a senior so it ends here for him. You can't win 'em all but at least let the players determine the outcome, you know.

So roll over, Jake. The kid needs a break.
