LMAO! I've been locating various parts and restoring some other ones. And a bit of slacking too.

I assembled my headlight buckets with H-4 bulbs and Hella conversion lenses. These will be fed by a relay harness from RJM. I also found a NOS marker light, and installed a LED bulb. I have Mustang Project taillight LEDs too, so I should have nice modern lighting on this car.

A few more parts cleaned and painted. My glove box door came out real nice.

It looks amazing Ryan, you are doing great.

Must feel real nice to see things coming together so well.

Thanks Abe! Every little project completed feels like a victory.

Spent a few more hours in the garage today putting parts on. I have the front end mostly assembled now. John (Del65) sold me an original, mint '65 grille, which I repainted the correct blue/gray color. Note the Cali black plate, a generous gift from Frank when I visited NorCal. My car is San Jose built, so it's a perfect fit. Also started on the rear, installing my LED non-sequential taillights, and quarter extensions. I still need to get some bumpers and brackets; then it'll really look like a car! Next step, probably front suspension...stay tuned!

Looking good, hang in there, the finish line is only a 9 second quarter mile away.

Gotta love those Cali Mustangs. LoL! Hey Ryan, our Mustangs are cousins, born in San Jose. Nice!

Had a few extra hours today, so I fit my TCP export brace in. It's a bit too Foose for my taste, but a nice, solid piece none-the-less. I might get it powdercoated black, so it doesn't stick out so bad.

Next, I bolted up the lower crossmember. This one also connects to the LCA for more rigidity. You can see the supplied spacer sandwiched between the crossmember and LCA mount. Pretty cool idea IMO.

Spent a little more time in the garage recently. I tackled the fastback side vents; what a pain in the arse! There are 5 vent sections per side, each containing 3 pieces. The chrome pieces need to be painted black on the inside of each square...all by hand. It isn't perfect, but I think I did okay. This is the passenger side. I'm missing a part for the driver's side, so I'll need to locate that before I can finish it.

Then I started working on the rear brakes. I originally had the caliper at 9:00 (pass side), but it hit the leaf spring. I moved it to 10:00 which I think should work. I still need to mount my panhard rod so we'll see if I need to move it again. Let me say that I'm not real happy about the red rear calipers, but that's what came with the brake kit (2000 Cobra brakes). They match my car and the lettering on my front brakes, so they stay for now...but I really don't like them.
