I'd be more in favor of a lotto type system. There are members who don't have the resources to compete dollar-wise.
I'd rather not see it be about money.
2-10s could be year specific.
Lotto system on jack through ace.

On the 2-10 thing you mentioned... do you mean:
2 = 64-1/2 - 65
3 = 66
4 = 67
5 = 68
6 = 69
7 = 70
8 = 71
9 = 72
10 = 73
That would work out pretty neat if we had at least 4 cars of every year available.

What are we to do with the later model years?
This should be open to all the years the forum supports.
I know the classics are the majority but we do have late model cars here too.
I like the lotto idea....I would need to tweek the spreadsheet and then make a list of names and get a hat and have SWMBO pull the names out and fill them in order...
That would be fair, but in order to get your name in the hat you would need to pay first. The reason is that one may not want to be whatever number one gets and then get butt hurt and then we have hard feelings and not enough money. What I don't want to have happen is there to be hard feelings!
There should be happiness and good cheer when we make these things.

maybe set a deadline to submit our car(s) and then see what all you have, it might be easier to figure out what to do when you know what you have to work with???

The years that end on 0 can be the 10 card. the years ending in 1 get spread out among all the numbers.

What grade card stock are we accepting? I believe there are 3 available. What is the price per deck and how many minimum per participant? Is there samples on line of what the supplier has produced before? What will be on the backside of each card?
