Yeah just wait till it's all a faded memory and you get to drive the car.

and then proceed to blow up the engine every year so it becomes a PITA every single frack'n year. You wake up every day and want to torch the POS.

LoL. Once it's back and running and you roll her onto the track it makes all worth it doesn't it.

I can't wait.

Keep up the great work! Truly an inspiration! I read this post cover to cover and wanted my first post to go your way. I was in your shoes at one time but didn't have the patience to actually figure it out all by myself. Looks like there's some great help here, and in the San Jose area. I've got a 65 San Jose car as well, so I'll be riding shotgun with you in spirit! Again....keep up the great work.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement I really appreciate it Ben, and thanks for cheking in on Fred's build.

It has been fun so far, sometimes I just wish I could get more accomplished then what currently gets done in the short time that I can put in.

Nice fastback on your avatar, would love to see more pics of it.

Current progress is that I lost my spot weld cutter, so I have all the spot welds drilled out from the top part of the apron and from the radiator support. I still have to cut out the remaining welds from the engine compartment side. Fun Fun Fun.

Have to get back to work tomorrow so I needed to get as much done now as I possibly can.

Ran over to HF and picked up a spot weld cutter. WoW! This thing worked great. 30 minutes and a lot of focussed attention on cutting depth and the apron was off. Whoraw!

JUST KIDDING.

Still have to get one of those dolley hammer kits for all the wrinkles and then massage it for better fit.

It's pretty twisted up.

Are you gonna seam weld it (strength), or spot weld it (originality)?

I was thinking about stitch welding the shock tower to the aprons.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First official somewhat decent patch I forgot to post yesterday. I'll have to fill in the little hole on Sunday and a little more love from Mr. Grind but not too shabby.

Got tickets for the SAP open for Wednesday to watch Verdasco and Monfils play as well as Semi Final tickets for Saturday. Should be fun.

Thanks my man, hope your enjoying that Beamer of yours.

Removed RS rear suspension. LS is next as soon as I get a chance. Waiting for the weekend to upgrade my shielding gas bottle to a bigger one(I ran out due to all my practicing), Blaw! As soon as I get my filled bigger bottle, RS front apron is going in.
